Background to Inspirational Mondays
Around fifteen years ago, I wrote a morning prayer to invoke Divine Guidance, Divine Assistance and Divine Power for my work day. Since I often discuss my spiritual revelations, a few years ago my friend Paty encouraged me to share them with a wider audience to inspire and encourage others.

After a hard workout a few weeks ago, there were two of us in the sauna—a young lady and me. We did not know each other. She looked at me and nervously asked, “Can I recite a poem to you?”

Struck and pleasantly surprised by the request, I responded, “Of course.” (How could I turn that down?)

The poem was an inspirational poem that expressed her personal challenges and her spiritual quest to overcome them. I enjoyed the poem. In return, I shared “My Purpose Prayer”…

Inspired, the young lady asked, “Is that written anywhere? I would love to have that! It expresses everything that I want to say.”

There, again, the Universe was giving me the same message: “Share your spiritual revelations and inspire others.”

With that being said, I am committing myself to “Inspirational Mondays.” On Mondays, I will share a resource to inspire my audience.

I want to state my disclaimer: almost everything I write has some source of inspiration—a conversation, a reading, a song. In fact, one line of my morning prayer derived from a chant. This served as the inception of and inspiration for the prayer. With this being said, whenever I am able, I will always site the source of inspiration.
_________

Every morning before I start my day—before I do anything, I engage in my morning ritual: spirit, mind and body. Facing the rising sun, I say my morning prayers and visualize. I go to the gym and work out. I read an inspirational text and say my affirmations. Then, I go to Work.

“My Purpose Prayer”

This is the day the Lord hath made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Deep breath)
This is the day the Lord hath made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Deep breath)
This is the day the Lord hath made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Deep breath)

As I rise to greet this day with joy and thanksgiving, eager to celebrate it through enthusiastically and boldly living my Purpose by doing Your Work, I ask you, oh God, for alignment with you that you may direct my Work and Path today, so that I may seize the day and do and create that which is good and pleasing in Your sight.

Lord, be in my presence today. Fill me with Your Energy. Provide me with Divine Assistance so that You can work in and through me. Lord, today, I ask that You would bless me indeed—bless me with more Blessings, more Territory, more Power and more Protection. Lord, bless my gifts and talents and expand my impact in such a way that I may touch more lives and do greater Service and Work for You this day. Lord, today, put me in the path of affirming people who will assist me on my journey in accomplishing Your Will.

Deviate from me all negative thoughts which prevent me from believing in myself. Help me, oh Lord, to recognize, believe in, and realize the special Gifts and Abilities you have created in me. Continually develop in my Spirit, Mind and Practices the virtues of active faith, courage, hard work, will, discipline, endurance, resilience, focus, consistency, persistence, perseverance and patience. Lord, help me to endure the challenges of this life and accept them without complaint, embracing them as a means to enhance my spiritual and personal development, testimonies to demonstrate Your Power, and fuel to brighten my Light.

Finally, I ask you, oh God and the Spirit World, to bless in advance my effort and multiply the Work produced today, so that it will fulfill Your Will and be an example of Your Greatness.

May I now find happiness, peace and fulfillment in my Labor. Thank you, oh God.
