Chai and Just Chat

Thank you to Nazeera Dawood, host and moderator, of “Chai and Just Chat” for inviting me to join her panel discussion “Black Influence on Brown:  Impactful, Bold and Beautiful.”

During this engaging discussion, this distinguished panel of scholars and activists explored the historical connection of the African American and South Asian communities.   History tells us that South Asians and African Americans have been standing up for each other for over a century.  Panellists discussed this history and the current need to continue to build bridges in our quest for liberation and social change.
