I unquestionably learned the meaning and power of the above biblical scripture by watching the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship Game this month between the University of Alabama Crimson Tide and the University of Georgia Bulldogs. Watching Alabama’s freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa play the last half of the game inspired and impacted me indeed!

How could Tua, the backup quarterback who had experienced limited playing time during the season, get sacked and lose fifteen yards in the next-to-the-last play of the game, and then in the very next play with seconds on the clock throw a 41-yard touchdown to freshman wide receiver Devonta Smith?

Thrilled with excitement yet completely baffled, I needed an answer to this unbelievable moment!

I thought, “What type of mental game is Tua playing???”

My Spirit graciously responded, “Tua immediately forgot the sack, and then he literally
pressed toward the goal.”

Bam!!!

What a valuable lesson for us all, and an incredible way for us to begin our new year!

Let us all embrace this extremely valuable gift Tua gave us.

In 2018, forget the sacks of the past. This year, this day, this moment, throw the touchdown!!!
